Fujihara Seminar: Real-time Dynamics of Physical Phenomena and Manipulation by External Fields
September 23-27, 2014

NEW! How to Access from New Chitose Airport

It is our great pleasure to invite you to attend Fujihara Seminar in Hokkaido, Japan, September 23-27, 2014.
The theme of the seminar is “Real-time dynamics of physical phenomena and manipulation by external field”. In physics, many static phenomena in equilibrium or the ground state have been well understood. However, phenomena in real time dynamics depend on the initial configuration and changes in time, and thus it is difficult to observe them. For the dynamics under driving forces, understanding on contributions of excited states is inevitable, and the studies on them are still developing.
Such real time dynamics has started in various systems: the phenomena of coherent spin motion, dynamics of excitation after a large perturbation, manipulation of quantum states by strong external fields, photo-induced phase transition, etc. For the dynamics, new methods such as time-resolve observations have been elaborated. These studies have been developed significantly in each own field.
In the present seminar, supported by the Fujihara foundation which encourages to the fundamental understanding in physics, we plan to introduce the current achievements to each other, and discuss the common and universal nature among them. From the view point of physics of real-time dynamics, we would like to discuss the related topics which have been independently studied so far, and find a new hint for further development for further studies, in a friendly atmosphere.

We are looking for seeing you at the seminar.
